Concert post: Salt Lake City, The Depot

Since there's two Blue Roses in the audience tonight - Mlle Jaz and Mlle Vice President Vulgar Angie - this show deserves another concert post. They'll be right at the front, so they might have a good chance to deliver their roses.

One rose each year seems to be the rule. Could it happen tonight?

(Sidenote: Who put the unofficial fake facebook account on that tour poster?)

Angie's photo of the queue this morning:

UPDATE:

While the show is still on, news have been tweeted from VPV Angie that... IT HAPPENED! Morrissey took Jaz's blue rose and wore it in his back pocket:

UPDATE: It was mentioned in the crèche swamp that on top of the blue rose, Morrissey also accepted a white one, which he didn't wear but it ended up on the drum kit, and a bouquet of yellow flowers. If you ask me (you probably don't... but anyway), Morrissey might be concerned that he's making it a little too obvious when accepting only (blue) roses, and who would wish for the crèche squad to turn up here, but then again, he sang Trouble Loves Me with a blue rose in his button hole, so unless Monsieur Le Moz issues a TTY statement in bold letters that he fully embraces BRS and speaks to us on Twitter, I think our precious little club is quite safe.

Here's a couple of more pictures from The SLC Flower Show:

And now I just cannot resist to present to you the flimsiest sign of the year. After the shirt colour coincidences, during which I might have lost the plot a bit (it happens to fruits), I spent the last week in monochrome, but I'm back in colour and of course the first coincidence jumped into my face instantly! Here's a picture of Morrissey in Salt Lake City, wearing quite an enormous ring:

That ring is so big that I first thought it was the return of the finger lingerie! Anyway. Please compare the colour of that ring with the background colour of our beloved little World of Moz blog. Yes, we notice such things. Incidentally, Morrissey opened the St. Paul show with the words "We are the world"...

But enough of this nonsense, we're now waiting impatiently for more information from Jjaz and VulgarAngie, who will hopefully find the time to write a review soon.

UPDATE:

VulgarAngie's thoughts on the show can be found in the comment section of FTM Day 1404, and Jjaz published her review on her blog JJ Lie Down In The Weeds.

    1. Lovely, it's been too long since we saw blue roses waving in the audience on youtube. Should you try to invade the stage, I'm crossing all my fingers for you.
Looking forward to a review, if you find the time!

  2. Looking forward to reading the after show reviews. This blog is really coming into its own
but needs more comments and postings, I think.

  3. While in queue we had an interesting conversation about what BRS was about with a fans. I explained about the original blog being penned by an individual who I believed was Morrissey because they way it read, I could hear Morrissey thinking these very words. (If that makes sense)
I went on to explain that many coincidences had come about after being mentioned on the blog, the signs, the roses, the pessoas (we did have all night to chat) and that's when I saw moz fiends tweet about the rose and "O" sign! I showed the fan the picture from colorado (she had just come from there) and they remarked that it was very interesting. The only negative thing they said about it was that it was confusing with there being multiple blogs and she felt she missed the story. I told her that "the story" was all online, one only has to begin reading from page one, all I did was provide an introduction.

    1. The multiple blogs aren't so confusing when you think about it; the whole story from A-Z is on FTM (and will continue there), this blog is either an addition or an alternative to that, because all the important signs from now on can be found on both blogs, and FTP with their parodies is there for extra amusement, they don't report on anything. It's nice to have a little diversity.

And now I just hope you wake up early, because we can't wait to hear all the details from last night!

  6. How exciting that Moz took the blue rose last night and made the 'owl ' hand sign.
The sceptics will still say that it is coincidence, but the DDD and the BRS know
the truth. Many thanks Mr M !

    1. Sorry the ' O ' hand sign was made by Moz which is different from
the ' owl ' hand sign. Obviously.

  7. I am so pleased and happy for Jaz!
    Well, well, well...
It would seem the one rose per year theory is correct, or is it?
    Maybe it should be THREE?

  8. Fuck. Off. You. Massive. Mental. Fuckwit.
This from the charming ' moderator ' Uncle Skinny on Solow regarding
a posting about the blue rose last night.
He refuses to acknowledge what is in plain sight.

    1. Yes I was quite upset about that so replied to the twat. Don't think it made it though, so they do moderate some things!
Honestly, the only reason he doesn't like it is because he knows at the very least that Moz plays along with the BRS, and Moz despises him, Tseng and the idiots that post crap on soLow.
      It really is a disgrace.

    2. I believe your comments have passed 'moderation'.

Strongly agree with every word you typed and posted. But probably will be ignored.

    4. Almost regret bothering to comment now. Just couldn't help myself really.
Like I said 'almost' regret.... I should now say almost again. Keep up the THREE business.

  10. so pleased for the girls that were at the concert on the other hand kind of sad for people like heather who tried but was ignored, it is nothing personal, it is when the mood takes him

    1. Yes that's true, but the surprise element is what makes Blue Rose so intriguing after all. And I'm sure Morrissey is well aware that Heather was one of the first people to discover MW, and who has been loyal (and always lovely) ever since.

    2. I immediately thought of Jesse, Heather and EARS. That I believe have taken a rose to each and every show they have been too.
But yes the element of surprise plays a part.

    3. Thanks for thinking of me and your kind words. I believe Ears has probably attended more shows with a rose in hand than any of the rest of us. It would be nice if Moz could accept all of our roses, but then it would become meaningless, so I consider it a pleasure and a privilege to have the opportunity to bring them and I'm thrilled for those whose roses he accepts.

  11. Orange, I love your ring and Moz saying 'we are the world' coincidence. You don't miss a thing do ya? Clever for a fruit.

If such things weren't meant to be, then they would never come to me!

We must keep our eyes peeled and ears primed.
